"On the Open Range in the Wachitas, Bison wonder over to your car or your easel if you're not paying attention! I'm nervous around large animals with horns so I kept a very respectable distance when photographing. When doing the pastel painting I took liberties with the size of the mountains in the distance and the colors, although all those colors are really there, you have to squint!" - Cynthia
