Cynthia Wolf - First 12" x 12"

"FIRST 12" X 12" by Cynthia Wolf. 12" x 12" Marble in 2" x 2" Tiles, 9 Emulsion Transfers. Watch the Progress

"A work in progress...This is the first of twelve, 12" x 12" marble sections that I am creating from a combination of Gayle, Karen & Jack's paintings & my photographs. Only Oklahoma images will be chosen; scenery, people, paintings from the four of us, etc.

The finished installation piece will be approx. 3 1/2 ft. x 4 1/2 ft., framed.
Since we are doing 3 sets of '100's' for our 100 paintings project I will have plenty of images to choose from (108 images will be needed for this). I'm creating the photo emulsions at first on these 1 foot x 1 foot sections to help me lay it all out. When all are completed I can cut the tiles apart and mix them as needed for the right color and composition. The white grid pattern won't be visible on the finished installation and all the tiles will be mounted on a black surface.

If you, your corporation, foundation or business would like to sponsor this project please contact us." -Cynthia
